Longenia

AI Transparency Policy and Medical Disclaimer

Important notice: Longenia is strictly informational and educational. Nothing here is a diagnosis, prescription, or medical treatment, and nothing replaces a consultation with a physician or other qualified health professional.

1. What this policy covers

This Policy sets out the principles governing Longenia's use of Artificial Intelligence ("AI"), promoting transparency, accountability, safety and trust in the tools we offer. It complements the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Consent for Sensitive Data.

2. AI's role at Longenia

Longenia uses AI to help organize, analyze and present information about your own health — organizing documents, interpreting lab results, summarizing reports, structuring clinical history, spotting trends, comparing results over time, producing charts and indicators, answering your questions, and writing plain-language explanations. AI is an information-support tool, not a substitute for clinical evaluation by qualified professionals.

3. Educational purpose only

All AI-generated content is purely informational, educational, preventive and organizational. No output from the platform constitutes a diagnosis, prescription, treatment, medical opinion, clinical report, second medical opinion, professional advice, or urgent/emergency care.

4. No doctor-patient relationship

Using Longenia's AI features does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Longenia does not provide medical services, consultations or telemedicine, and does not replace physicians, dietitians, pharmacists, physical therapists, psychologists, or any other legally qualified professional. Every health decision must be made by you together with qualified professionals.

5. Limitations of AI

AI systems have inherent limitations. Their outputs can contain errors, omissions, incorrect interpretations, oversimplifications, inconsistencies, statistical bias, outdated information, or conclusions unsuited to your individual clinical context — no AI system is infallible.

Output quality depends directly on the quality of the data you provide: incomplete exams, illegible documents, corrupted files, incorrect information, or imprecise wearable readings can all affect the results. Longenia does not independently verify the authenticity of uploaded documents.

6. Models used and continuous evolution

Longenia may use proprietary, open-source, third-party, fine-tuned, multimodal, or hybrid AI models, and this architecture can evolve continuously — which may change the Health Score methodology, metabolic-age calculation, biomarker interpretation, insight generation, and document organization. Previously shown results may be recalculated under new methodologies. Whenever technically feasible, Longenia will try to flag when content was produced fully or partly by AI.

7. No automated decision-making with legal effect

Longenia does not use AI to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you — the platform does not decide on hiring, termination, credit, insurance, benefit eligibility, medical coverage, financial approval, or any equivalent legal act.

8. Scientific limitations and emergencies

Science keeps evolving: new evidence can change clinical guidelines, reference values, relevant biomarkers, and scientific consensus, so analyses shown previously may be updated over time.

Longenia must not be used for medical emergencies. If you have severe or potentially life-threatening symptoms, seek emergency medical care immediately. The platform does not continuously monitor your clinical status and has no obligation to issue emergency alerts.

9. Your responsibility and our liability limits

You remain fully responsible for decisions about your health: interpret the information responsibly, seek professional guidance when needed, don't rely on the platform as your only tool for clinical decisions, and keep your data accurate.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Longenia is not liable for damages arising from improper use of the platform, misinterpretation of information, decisions made solely on AI-generated content, self-medication, delayed medical care, third-party device failures, or temporary service unavailability. Nothing in this Policy limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Ethical AI use and contact

Longenia commits to developing and operating its systems with transparency, safety, proportionality, data protection, risk minimization, human oversight, continuous improvement and technological accountability.

Appendix — Medical Disclaimer

Longenia is a technology platform for organizing, visualizing and providing informational analysis of personal health data. Longenia does not provide medical services.

Nothing the platform offers — charts, indicators, interpretations, reports, AI-generated answers, the Health Score, metabolic age, or genetic analyses — constitutes a medical diagnosis, prescription, treatment, professional advice, clinical report, medical consultation, or urgent/emergency care.

All information is for educational and informational purposes only. Always consult a physician or other legally qualified health professional before starting, changing, or stopping any treatment, medication, supplement, diet, physical activity, or any other health-related conduct. Using the platform is complementary and does not replace professional follow-up.

11. Final provisions

This Policy is part of Longenia's legal framework. In case of conflict with the Terms of Service, the Terms govern contractual matters and this Policy governs AI-specific matters. The official language is Portuguese (Brazil); this English version is a courtesy translation, and in case of conflict the Portuguese version prevails. Read it at /pt/legal/ai-disclaimer.
